Andreas Stocker vs. Julius Ray Hawkins

* Stocker and his two friends were at Bent Willeys on the second floor. Dawkins approached one of Stocker's friends and struck him in the face. When Stocker came to the aid of his friend, Dawkins grabbed his shirt collar and hit him twice in the face, knocking him to the ground. Hawkins was helped by an employee of Bent Willey's and taken downstairs out of the building. He gave a report to a City Police officer who also took pictures of his injuries. While waiting for EMS, Stocker noticed Dawkins in another altercation with a person on Chestnut Street. Shortly thereafter, Dawkins was taken into custody. Stocker suffered contusions, a chipped tooth, bruises to his nose check and jaw. He is seeking judgment for actual, general, special and punitive damages, medical bills and costs.

Mary F. McKinley vs. Morgantown Utility Board

* McKinley is seeking damages for damages sustained when the sewer system in her home backed up, causing rain water and raw sewage to flood her home. As a result, she suffered damage to her home and personal belongings. McKinley is also asking for pre and post judgment interest and attorney fees.

Donna Neal vs. Dr. Henry Fooks Jr. and West Virginia University Board of Governors
* Neal was admitted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in February 2009 for a nephrectomy. After that surgery, Neal alleges Fooks failed to properly close the surgical wound which cause her abdominal pain and discomfort. She continued as his patient, under his care, until October 2009. After a hernia repair operation performed at CAMC in March 2010, her physician observed Neal's abdominal muscle was not approximated after the nephrectomy performed by Fooks. Neal incurred medical and hospital expenses of $71,000.
