Lincoln Co. man sues GM for defective vehicle

CHARLESTON -- A Lincoln County man is suing General Motors for a vehicle he claims was defective.

On Sept. 17, 2011, Joseph Christian purchased a new 2011 GMC Sierra Full Size Extended Cab for the purchase price of $35,350, according to a complaint filed June 13 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Christian claims after the purchase of the vehicle, he experienced repeated non-conformities with the new vehicle and returned it to the defendant on several occasions for repairs.

The defendant failed to conform the vehicle to its warranties after a reasonable number of attempts, according to the suit.

Christian is seeking revocation of acceptance and refund of the purchase price of the vehicle and compensatory damages. He is being represented by Michael L. Glasser.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
