Charleston woman sues KRT for injuries

CHARLESTON -- A Charleston woman is suing Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority after she claims she was injured while on one of its buses.

On June 29, 2010, Rosalie G. Dunmire was riding as a guest passenger in a KRT bus when the bus was operated in a negligent manner, according to a complaint filed June 29 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Dunmire claims the defendant was negligent and caused her to become injured while she was a passenger on the bus.

As a result of the defendant's negligence, Dunmire incurred medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, emotional distress, inconvenience and loss of ability to enjoy life, according to the suit.

Dunmire is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by R. Michael Martin.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
