Thompson’s Auto Service sued over car accident

HUNTINGTON – A woman is suing Thompson’s Auto Service, Inc., claiming she was injured in a car accident because of one of its employees.

David W. Gibson, an employee of Thompson’s, was also named as a defendant in the suit.

On June 15, Andrea Lechaun Booker was operating her 2005 Chevrolet Equinox in Huntington, according to a complaint filed Jan. 15 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Booker claims Gibson was operating a Red Ford F-650 Truck that was owned by Thompson’s and negligently caused the truck to collide with her vehicle.

Gibson was employed by Thompson’s and was acting within the scope of his employment when the accident occurred, according to the suit.

Booker claims as a result of Gibson’s wrongful acts, she was required to expend large sums of money for medical and hospital treatment and services.

Gibson’s actions also caused Booker to endure pain and suffering; mental anguish and emotional distress; annoyance and inconvenience; loss of the ability to enjoy life; and suffer a loss of earnings and earning capacity, according to the suit.

Booker is seeking compensatory damages. She is being represented by J. Michael Ranson, Cynthia M. Ranson and George B. Morrone III.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David Pancake.
