* Copley was employed by Foster from Oct. 20, 2007, until March 30, 2012. Copley claims after suffering an on-the-job injury on April 24, 2011, she required further treatment and surgery. After informing Stephens that she would be off of work for surgery, Stephens contacted Foster's Workers' Compensation carrier, which subsequently denied Copley's request for coverage, she says. Copley's employment was then terminated, she says. Copley is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre-judgment interest.

Connie Jean Lawrence vs. Capital Ventures Corporation

* On May 20, 2011, Lawrence was visiting her daughter at her daughter's apartment in Huntington, which was owned by Capital. Lawrence claims upon returning to her daughter's apartment on foot from running an errand, she tripped on an uneven and raised portion of the pavement and fell, which caused her injuries. Lawrence is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
