Man sues Pancake Realty Company for injuries

HUNTINGTON - A man is suing Pancake Realty Company for injuries allegedly sustained while he was at a rental home it owned.

On Feb. 12, 2012, Alan Dale Black was a patron at a rental home or complex owned and operated by Pancake when he slipped and fell due to the defendant's failure to maintain a safe access way or safe walking surface, according to a complaint filed July 15 in Cabell Circuit Court.

Black claims as a result of the fall, he suffered injuries to his head and neck and other parts of his body.

As a result of the defendant's actions, Black suffered serious and permanent pain and suffering; injuries and disability; and has incurred a loss of income and medical bills, according to the suit.

Black is seeking compensatory damages. He is being represented by D. Adrian Hoosier II of the Hoosier Law Firm PLLC.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
