CHARLESTON - A former employee is suing Dunbar Printing & Graphics LLC for allegedly failing to timely pay her final wages.

Denise Haddox was employed by the defendant until her employment was terminated on May 3, according to a complaint filed Sept. 4 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Haddox claims the defendant had a duty to pay her final wages within 72 hours and failed to do so.

The defendant's actions violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act, according to the suit.

Haddox claims she was not paid her final wages until May 9.

The defendant's conduct in violating the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act entitles Haddox to treble damages, according to the suit.

Haddox is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by Todd S. Bailess and Joy B. Mega of Bailess Law PLLC.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
