Francisco elected to second term with national paralegal group

HUNTINGTON – An Advanced Certified Paralegal with Dinsmore & Shohl was recently elected to a second term as Second Vice President of the National Association of Legal Assistants/Paralegals.

Jill I. Francisco was elected at the organization’s 40th Annual Convention in Tulsa, Okla. She will serve on the NALA board of directors during the 2015-16 operational year.

Francisco is employed as a paralegal with Dinsmore & Shohl in its Huntington office. She started working as a paralegal at Huddleston Bolen in 1997 and joined Dinsmore in February as a result of Huddleston Bolen's merger with the firm.

Francisco previously served as NALA'S secretary from 2012-14, its treasurer from 2010-12, as Affiliated Associations Director from 2008-2010, Affiliated Associations Secretary from 2005-2006 and on the Professional Development Committee from 2003-2006.

Francisco served as Charter President from 2004-2006 of the NALA Affiliated Association, Legal Assistants/Paralegals of Southern West Virginia.

She currently serves on the Advisory Board for Mount West Community and Technical College Legal Assistant Program, the Legal Assistant Representative on the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia Board of Directors and the Marshall University Big Green Scholarship Board of Directors.

She obtained her bachelor's in Criminal Justice from Marshall University in 1994.

Francisco resides in Kenova, West Virginia with her husband, Shawn and their son, John David.
