Man blames Logan Emergency Ambulance for scrotum injury

Ambulance

LOGAN – A diabetic man who uses a wheelchair recently sued a Logan County ambulance company and two of its employees alleging their negligence and breach of duty caused him undue harm after he fell and gashed his scrotum.

Hillard Conley alleged he fell while attempting to enter a Logan Emergency Ambulance while being transported to St. Francis Hospital for wound care, according to a complaint filed in Logan Circuit Court.

He claims the ambulance attendants failed to assist him in transferring from his wheelchair to the ambulance gurney, which resulted in the accident that caused him to suffer two large gashes on his scrotum.

The plaintiff is demanding unspecified damages, plus attorney fees, liquidated damages and costs.  Conley is represented by Ben F. White of Chapmanville. Circuit Judge William Witten is presiding.
