KINGWOOD – A Preston County man is suing three other Preston County residents over injuries he allegedly sustained in their work garage in Masontown.
Dusty C. Titchenell filed a lawsuit Dec. 30 in Preston Circuit Court against Mark Mayfield, Janis Mayfield and John Mayfield, alleging negligence.
On Feb. 8, 2014, the suit states, Titchenell was in the defendants' work garage at 59 Bull Run Road in Masontown, where he had taken his 1999 Dodge Durango to have it repaired.
While the vehicle was elevated using a scissor jack owned and controlled by the defendants, the vehicle fell on Titchenell, allegedly causing him severe personal injuries, the complaint states.
The suit states the defendants were negligent in failing to maintain a safe condition and failing to use the proper scissor jack.
Titchenell seeks compensatory and general damages, interests, and attorney fees and costs.
The plaintiff is represented by attorneys James A. Villanova and Michael E. Metro of Villanova Law Offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
