WHEELING – An Ohio County woman says she was injured in a two-vehicle accident allegedly caused by a UPS driver.

Laura M. Higgenbotham filed a lawsuit March 21 in Ohio Circuit Court against United Parcel Service Inc., doing business as UPS Inc., and Ricky J. Comer, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Higgenbotham was a passenger in a car struck by a UPS cargo van driven by Comer on March 21, 2014. The plaintiff says she suffered injuries to her head, jaw, neck, shoulders, back and other bodily areas from the accident, which occurred at the intersection of West Alexander and Dallas Pike Roads. The suit claims Comer’s reckless driving caused the wreck.

Higgenbotham seeks a jury trial, compensatory and general damages, interest, and litigation costs. She is represented by attorney Shane M. Mallett of Mallett Law Offices in Wheeing.
