By Robert Hadley | Apr 12, 2016

BECKLEY – A Fayette County family is suing a motorist who allegedly was responsible for a crash that caused severe injuries.

Jacob Wolfe, Andrea Wolfe and Logan Wolf filed a lawsuit April 6 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Shea Browning and Malia Browning, alleging negligence and personal injury liability.

According to the complaint, on July 15, 2015 the Wolfes’ vehicle was struck by Malia Browning’s 2000 Buick Regal, loaned to her by Shea Browning, on Stanaford Road in Raleigh County. The suit says the Wolfes suffered permanent injuries, incurred ongoing medical expenses, and endured pain and emotional distress. Malia Browning is blamed for negligently operating the vehicle, whereas Shea is faulted for allowing her to use the car.

The Wolfes seek a jury trial and damages to be determined at trial. They are represented by attorney Greg A. Hewitt of Hewitt & Salvatore PLLC in Fayetteville.
