Man says faulty urinal caused injuries at Wheeling Island Gaming

By Kyla Asbury | Apr 13, 2016

WHEELING – A Wheeling man is suing Wheeling Island Gaming after he claims he was injured while on its premises.

On Jan. 5, George Petz was at Wheeling Island Gaming and went to the men’s restroom and was injured when a urinal fell off the wall, resulting in water spilling on the floor, which caused him to fall, according to a complaint filed in April in Ohio Circuit Court.

Petz claims the defendant negligently maintained the urinal that contributed to the cause of his fall and his personal injuries.

As a result of the defendant’s actions, Petz suffered pain, emotional distress and incurred medical expenses, according to the suit.

Petz is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Ronald William Kasserman of Kasserman Law Offices PLLC.

Ohio Circuit Court case number: 16-C-95
