HUNTINGTON – The Doug Reynolds for Attorney General campaign has released the first in a series of ads meant to introduce him to West Virginians.
The ad, which is called “I work for Doug,” is the first ad buy to highlight what the campaign calls Reynolds' record of job creation.
"Starting with this commercial, and over the next three months, West Virginians will see why Doug Reynolds is the best choice for Attorney General," the campaign says in a press release. The ad can be viewed online.
The 30-second commmercial features some of Reynolds’ employees who speak to his ability to create jobs as well as his character as an employer.
“As your Attorney General, I will work for the people and always put West Virginians above out-of-state special interests,” Reynolds said. “My experience running Energy Services of America, a company I have grown to over 800 employees, will be valuable in managing the Attorney General’s office.”
Reynolds grew up in Wayne County and graduated from Wayne High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Duke University, and earned his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law.
He serves a Chief Executive Officer of Energy Services of America, a Huntington-based regional engineering and construction company, as well as CJ Hughes Construction and Nitro Electric. He also serves as the managing partner in HD Media, the holding company of The Herald-Dispatch and Wayne County News.
Reynolds currently represents Cabell and Wayne Counties in the West Virginia House of Delegates, a position he has held since 2006. He formerly ran his own law firm and served as an assistant prosecuting attorney of Cabell County.
Reynolds and his wife, Maria, live in Huntington with their four children, Marshall, Grant, Justice and Claire.
A Democrat, Reynolds is running against incumbent Attorney General Patrick Morrisey in the general election.
