CHARLESTON – A Hurricane woman alleges that her credit report contains inaccurate information and that it has not been corrected.

Jennifer S. Sipe filed a complaint on July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia at Charleston against Experian Information Solutions Inc., Equifax Information Services LLC, Transunion LLC, Nissan Motors Acceptance and Xerox Educational Services LLC, doing business as ACS, alleging that they failed to employ reasonable procedures to ensure maximum accuracy of credit reports.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in February, she discovered the defendants had recorded inaccurate information on her credit reports. She alleges because of the defendant's actions, she was deprived of the good credit effects, has suffered damage to her credit ratings, had to pay higher rates for her personal insurance, home and other actual damages.

The plaintiff holds Experian Information Solutions Inc., Equifax Information Services LLC, Transunion LLC, Nissan Motors Acceptance and Xerox Educational Services LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to correct the reported derogatory information, failed to accurately report her positive payment history, denied her of the benefits of a good payment history and failed to conduct reasonable reinvestigations.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for all damages, attorney fees, costs and expenses and such other relief as the court shall deem just and proper. She is represented by Benjamin M. Sheridan and Daniel K. Armstrong of Klein & Sheridan LC in Hurricane.
