Bank alleges trucking business, owner owe $10,000

BECKLEY — BB&T is suing a West Virginia trucking business, alleging breach of contract in owing $10,000.

Branch Banking & Trust Company, which is based in North Carolina, filed a lawsuit Sept. 2 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Double Trucking and Patricia A. Steele of Glen Daniel, West Virginia, alleging failure to comply with the terms of their contractual agreement.

According to the complaint, Branch Banking suffered financial damages for not collecting payment for the defendants' debt of $10,010.77. The plaintiff alleges the defendants have failed and refused to pay their indebtedness.

Branch Banking and Trust seeks trial by jury, judgment for the principal amount of $10,010.77, plus interest, attorney fees and all other relief deemed proper. It is represented by attorney W. Scott Stinnett of Lloyd & McDaniel PLC in Louisville, Kentucky.
