Former employee alleges Wayne County service business owes her $3,200

WAYNE — A Wayne County woman is suing a county community service business, alleging violation of workers compensation acts.

Margie Allen filed a lawsuit Oct. 20 in Wayne Circuit Court against Wayne County Community Service Organization Inc.,  alleging violation of the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act.

According to the complaint, during Allen's employment with the defendant, she was entitled to and has accrued certain fringe benefits of approximately $1,618.75. To date, the suit says, she has not received her final wages. 

The plaintiff alleges the defendant has failed to pay all wages owed in a timely manner.

The plaintiff seeks trial by jury, judgment for $3,237.50, attorney fees and court costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Nathan D. Brown and Joshua S. Ferrell of Ferrell & Brown PLLC in Williamson.
