Customer accuses window installer of contract breach

Contract 01

WINFIELD — A Nitro woman is suing a St. Albans window installer, alleging negligence in failing to properly complete a job.

Mia Aldridge filed a lawsuit Dec. 8 in Putnam Circuit Court against Hanshaw Enterprises Inc., doing business as Window World of Kanawha One, alleging violation of the West Virginia Consumer Credit and Protection Act.

According to the complaint, Aldridge has been financially harmed for not receiving the services for which she paid more than $2,700r, her property was damaged and she has spent much time dealing with enormously stressful situations.

The plaintiff alleges Window World of Kanawha One failed to install the windows in accordance with the building code, failed to make repairs in a workmanlike manner and attempted to collect the balance for an incomplete job.

Aldridge seeks trial by jury, all damages, cancellation of any purported debt, costs of litigation and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorneys Benjamin Sheridan and Daniel K. Armstrong of Klein & Sheridan LC in Hurricane.
