RIPLEY — A certified nursing assistant is suing Eldercare Jackson County LLC and Twylia Richards, citing alleged religious discrimination, retaliation and wrongful discharge.

According to the complaint, Parrish alleges that as a result of defendants' unlawful discriminatory actions, plaintiff has suffered loss wages and benefits, humiliation, mental anguish and emotional distress. The plaintiff holds Eldercare Jackson County and Richards responsible because the defendants allegedly subjected her to disparate treatment and hostile work environment for refusing to subscribe to Richards's religious beliefs and retaliated and discriminated against her for complaining patients safety.

Parrish requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, jointly and severally, in an amount in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, plus interest, costs and such other just and proper relief.
