Laundry service alleges restaurant operator owes nearly $9,000

WHEELING — A Wheeling laundry service agency is suing a restaurant operator, alleging breach of a service agreement.

Wheeling Linen Service Inc. filed a complaint May 19 in Ohio Circuit Court against Nick's Lounge Inc. alleging the defendant ceased accepting the plaintiff's services for towels, uniforms, doormats and cleaning supplies without providing the required notice.

According to the complaint, as a result of Nick Lounge's actions, Wheeling Linen suffered damages of $8,854.44. The plaintiff alleges the defendant ceased accepting its services, signed a new service agreement with another company and refused to pay Wheeling Linen for previous contracted services.

Wheeling Linen Service seeks trial by jury, judgment of $8,854.44, plus interest, attorney fees and court costs and all other just and appropriate relief. It is represented by attorneys Richard N. Beaver and Edward M. George III of Phillips, Gardill, Kaiser & Altmeyer PLLC in Wheeling.
