Semi crash 05

WEST UNION – A Kentucky man alleges he was injured when the tractor-trailer he was in was struck from behind by a Saint Marys man.

Michael McCoy filed a complaint July 10 in Doddridge Circuit Court against Leroy Hashman and Fluid Delivery Solutions LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 14, 2015, he sustained personal injuries when the tractor-trailer he was riding was struck from behind by a motor vehicle operated by Hashman and owned by his employer Fluid Delivery. The suit states the incident occurred on U.S. Route 50 in Doddridge County.

The plaintiff holds Hashman and Fluid Delivery Solutions LLC responsible because Hashman allegedly failed to keep careful lookout and failed to stop or to take other precautions to avoid collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and compensatory damages of more than $75,000. He is represented by Paul M. Stroebel of Stroebel & Johnson PLLC in Charleston.
