Property owner alleges Red Oak Farms Lumber Co. unlawfully removed trees

MOUNDSVILLE – A Cameron woman alleges that a company unlawfully entered her property to remove trees.

Edna Scherrick filed a complaint on July 14 in the Marshall Circuit Court against Jeffrey Knollinger and Red Oak Farms Lumber Co. alleging that the West Virginia business and an individual entered plaintiff's property without her consent.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 7, 2015, she discovered that Red Oak Farms Lumber Co. entered her property and was removing trees without her permission. She alleges 52 trees were removed.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, general damages, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Peter P. Kurelac III of Kurelac Law Offices PLLC in Moundsville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Jeffrey Cramer.
