PRINCETON – A North Carolina woman alleges she was injured while shopping at the Princeton Walmart.

Acquanetta Martin filed a complaint Aug. 16 in Mercer Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores East LP alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 2, she sustained physical injuries from falling due to a puddle of water that was left on the floor while shopping at the defendant's store. The plaintiff holds Wal-Mart Stores East LP responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the condition.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount sufficient to compensate her for her injuries and damages, interest, court costs, and any further relief as the court grants. She is represented by Robert B. Warner and Christopher Schumacher of Warner Law Offices PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Mark Wills.
