WAYNE – A Kenova woman claims that bus drivers for the Wayne County Board of Education have damaged her property.

Deidra Bolton filed a complaint July 24 in Wayne Circuit Court against the Wayne County Board of Education and Does 1-15 alleging negligence, nuisance and trespass.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges bus drivers for the defendant school district used her driveway twice a day to turn the buses around without her permission or the purchase of a right of way. She alleges she repeatedly informed the drivers not to use her driveway.

The plaintiff holds Wayne County Board of Education and Does 1-15 responsible because the use of her driveway by the bus drivers has allegedly caused it to become broken and a grate to collapse, which has blocked a drainage pipe and created sink holes and flooding.

The plaintiff seeks general and special damages, costs of suit, interest and such other just and proper relief. She is represented by J. Patrick L. Stephens of Underwood Law Offices in Huntington. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James H. Young Jr.
