Motorist seeks damages from Geico after Beckley collision with underinsured driver

BECKLEY – A motorist is seeking underinsured motor vehicle coverage from Geico Indemnity Co.

James A. Logsdon filed a complaint Sept. 12 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Geico Indemnity Co. citing West Virginia Code.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 16, 2015, he was injured when an underinsured motorist collided with his vehicle after failing to stop at a stop sign in Beckley.

The suit states the plaintiff entered into a policy limits settlement with the underinsured driver's insurer and seeks coverage from the defendant.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for compensatory damages, interest, attorneys' fees, costs, expenses and further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Robert D. Cline Jr. and Brian E. Bigelow of Farmer, Cline & Campbell PLLC in Beckley. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Andrew Dimlich.
