LOGAN – A Mingo County woman alleges she was injured at a Logan County restaurant because of loose gravel in the parking lot.

Patty Slone filed a complaint Oct. 17 in Logan Circuit Court against Morrison's Drive Inn Inc., doing business as Janet's Restaurant Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 4, 2016, she was physically injured when she stepped on loose stones and gravel while exiting her vehicle in the defendant's parking lot. She alleges she suffered a fractured pelvis and tailbone as well as a head injury.

The plaintiff holds Morrison's Drive Inn Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to remove loose gravel and stones and failed to warn of the hidden danger.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount sufficient to compensate the plaintiff for her damages, court costs, interest and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Scott H. Kaminski of Kaminski Law PLLC in Charleston. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Eric H. O'Briant.
