WHEELING – A Wheeling shopping center alleges that a tenant failed to pay rent.
Elm Terrace Shopping Center LLC filed a complaint in Ohio Circuit Court against Jill M. Jones, doing business as Jill Jones Formal Wear, alleging failure to pay.
According to the complaint, the defendant entered into a lease with the plaintiff in August 2016 to operate a wedding consignment shop for 27 months. The plaintiff alleges it has not received a rent payment from the defendant since November 2016 and the amount due and owing is $24,560 plus $2,456 in late charges.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $27,016 plus interest and court costs. It is represented by Lester C. Hess Jr. of Bachmann, Hess, Bachmann & Garden PLLC in Wheeling. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Ronald E. Wilson.
