PRINCETON – A Camp Creek couple alleges they cannot sell a mobile home because they do not have the title from the previous owner.

Anthony T. Miller and Patti A. Miller filed a complaint Jan. 5 in Mercer Circuit Court against Bonnie L. McNeal and New Peoples Bank Inc. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in February 2016, they purchased a property on McDowell Street in Princeton from McNeal and financed a portion of the purchase with a loan from Peoples.

The plaintiffs hold McNeal and New Peoples Bank Inc. responsible because McNeal allegedly failed to deliver the title of the mobile home to them and because they do not have the title, the plaintiffs cannot sell the property.

The plaintiffs seek compensatory and punitive damages, immediate transfer of the record title to the plaintiffs, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by David E. Gilbert and Lindsay C. Ashley of Kirby, Gilbert & Ashley LC in Beckley. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Mark Wills.
