KINGWOOD — A Huntington business is suing a Preston County contractor, alleging breach of credit and guaranty agreement in failing to pay more than $26,000.

State Electric Supply Co. Inc. filed a complaint on March 13, in the Preston Circuit Court against Marksman Contracting LLC and Mark Scafella, alleging that they failed to perform their contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, between August-December 2017, the defendants purchased electrical supplies from State Electric on credit. As of Dec. 10, 2017, the suit says, $26,555.33 remains due and payable. 

The plaintiff alleges Marksman Contracting and Scafella have failed to make payments for the amounts mentioned.

State Electric Supply seeks trial by jury,  judgment against the defendants, jointly and severally, for $26,555.33, plus interest from Dec. 10, 2017, court costs and attorney fees. It is represented by attorney Charles G. Johnson of Jackson Kelly PLLC in Clarksburg.
