Cabell County motorist alleges another driver caused collision

HUNTINGTON — A Cabell County motorist is suing a vehicle owner and operator, alleging negligence caused injuries.

Ryan Alan Bailey filed a complaint May 4 in Cabell Circuit Court against First Choice Used Cars- First Choice Rebuilders Inc. and Judith Lynn Woyan, alleging the defendants failed to entrust and operate their vehicle in a reasonable manner.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 11, 2017, Bailey was lawfully operating his motor vehicle on Ring Road, near the intersection of East Mall Road in Cabell County, when he he was struck by the defendants' vehicle driven by Woyan. 

As a result, Bailey says he sustained physical injuries that will lead to future hospital, medical bills and expenses. 

The plaintiff alleges Woyan disregarded road markings, engaged in an improper method and position of turning, negligent actions that caused the collision.

Bailey seeks trial by jury, compensation for his injuries and damages, plus court costs and prejudgment interest. He is represented by attorney Clayton J. Maddox of Greene, Ketchum, Farrell, Bailey & Tweel in Huntington.
