Lawsuit says wheel fell off Asplundh truck

RIPLEY - An Evans man is suing over claims that a wheel and axel struck his vehicle, causing him injuries.

Nathan Parsons filed a lawsuit Sept. 5 in the Circuit Court of Jackson County against Asplundh Tree Expert Co., citing negligence.

Parsons says on Dec. 27, 2011, he was legally operating a motor vehicle on I-77 near Ravenswood when a wheel and axel flew off Asplundh's trailer, striking the plaintiff's vehicle.

The court filing states that the accident severely injured Parsons.

The plaintiff is seeking an undisclosed amount of damages and is being represented in the case by the Law Offices of Harris and Holmes PLLC in Ripley.
