BECKLEY -- A Wyoming County man is suing over claims he was injured on the premises of a car dealership.

William E. and Tamela D. McCurdy filed a lawsuit May 7 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Ramey Motors Inc., Ramey Automotive Group Inc., doing business as Ramey Ford Lincoln, and Whitlock's Realty Inc., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, William McCurdy was on the defendants' property on North Eisenhower Drive in Beckley on June 11, 2012, when he stepped in a hole in the parking lot and sustained injury to his ankle. McCurdy says he incurred medical expenses of more than $21,000 and loss of income of more than $82,000 as a result of the incident.

The McCurdys are seeking damages in an amount justified by the evidence.

They are being represented in the case by attorneys Kevin B. Burgess and Christopher B. Frost of Hamilton, Burgess, Young & Pollard PLLC in Fayetteville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge John A. Hutchison.
