FAYETTEVILLE – An Oak Hill woman and her husband are suing after the wife was allegedly involved in a vehicle accident.
Helen Lewis and Ronnie Lews filed suit May 29 in Fayette Circuit Court against the Board of Education of Fayette County.
According to the complaint, on June 6, 2012, Helen was driving her vehicle and was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Main Street and Central Avenue in Oak Hill. At the same time a school bus being driven by an employee of the Board of Education of Fayette County violently collided with the rear of the plaintiff's vehicle, causing Helen neck and back injuries, the suit states.
The defendant is accused of failing to maintain control of the vehicle, failing to safely stop the vehicle and failing to keep a proper lookout.
The plaintiffs are seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional requisite, interest and fees.
They are represented by Charleston attorney William M. Tiano of Tiano O'Dell PLLC. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul M. Blake.
