LOGAN – A Chapmanville man is suing over claims he was injured in a collision in a mall parking lot.

Larry Collins filed a lawsuit Dec. 1 in Logan Circuit Court against Houston-based Loomis Armored US and Pedro A. Stewart, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Stewart was driving one of Loomis' vehicles, which is primarily used to transport currency from one business to another, on Dec. 3, 2012, when he negligently caused it to strike Collins' vehicle in the parking lot in front of the Lowe's in Fountain Place Mall. Collins says he sustained injuries to his lower back, neck and left shoulder, and has incurred medical expenses of approximately $14,000. The defendants are accused of negligence.

Collins seeks $50,000 in damages, plus interest. He is represented by attorney Mark Hobbs of Chapmanville.
