* In July 2007 as an employee of West Virginia University, Bruce Mathieson died as a result of a fall while working. Karla Mathieson alleges WVU is liable for her husband's death by requiring him to work without any type of fall protection or safety training for roof work, and allowed him to work in elevated areas that were not properly designed or constructed to eliminate or reduce the risk of a fall. Mathieson is seeking damages for the wrongful death of her husband.
