PERSONNEL FILE: Gottlieb named Oil, Natural Gas Lawyer of the Year

CHARLESTON -– Richard L. Gottlieb, a member of the law firm Lewis Glasser Casey & Rollins, has been named "Lawyer of the Year" for his oil and natural gas legal practice.
Gottlieb was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 19th edition of Best Lawyers in United States in the practice areas of Energy Law and Oil & Gas Law. Additionally, he was named the Best Lawyers' 2013 Charleston Oil & Gas Law "Lawyer of the Year". Only a single lawyer in each practice area in each community is being honored as the "Lawyer of the Year" in 2013. Gottlieb is a veteran oil and natural gas attorney in the Appalachian Basin, and he represents oil and natural gas producers and other energy businesses in regulatory, litigation and commercial matters. He a former counsel in the Office of Enforcement in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and was a senior attorney with Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation. Gottlieb is a member of the board of trustees and former officer of the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation and a member of the Legal Committee for the West Virginia Oil & Natural Gas Association.
