CHARLESTON — A doctor originally from Saudi Arabia is suing West Virginia University medical providers, alleging violation of public policy.

Dr. Ahmed Dahshan filed a lawsuit in Kanawha Circuit Court against West Virginia University Medical Corp. Charleston Division, West Virginia University, West Virginia University Board of Governors, West Virginia University School of Medicine et al, alleging violation of the West Virginia Antitrust Act.

According to the complaint, Dahshan, who moved from Saudi Arabia to accept what he believed would be an exciting opportunity as chairman and professor of the Department of Pediatrics, has experienced extreme damage to his business, lost wages, indignity, humiliation and emotional distress for loosing potential employers and potential and current patients.

The suit says the defendants colluded to interfere with his medical practice to deprive him of business.

Dahshan seeks trial by jury, compensation for all damages, attorney fees, court costs and all other relief the court deems just and proper. He is represented by attorneys William C. Forbes and W. Jesse Forbes of Forbes Law Offices PLLC in Charleston.
