Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant patron alleges gravel caused fall

Slip01

BECKLEY – A man alleges he was injured at a Beckley restaurant because of gravel on the sidewalk.

Robert R. Jeffries and Judy L. Jeffries filed a complaint July 14 in Raleigh Circuit Court against Logan's Roadhouse Inc., doing business as Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 13, Robert R. Jeffries suffered physical injuries when he slipped and fell on gravel rocks that accumulated on the sidewalk near the entry door of the defendant's restaurant in Beckley.

The plaintiffs hold Logan's Roadhouse Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently allowed the dangerous hazard to exist.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek special and general damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Kevin B. Burgess, Christopher B. Frost and Steven R. Boardwater Jr. of Hamilton, Burgess, Young & Pollard PLLC in Fayetteville. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Andrew Dimlich.
