CHARLESTON — A woman is suing Thomas Health Systems for wrongful termination.

Tara Conn was employed by Thomas from 2016 until 2020 in the Human Resources Department and was paid approximately $60,000 per year, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Conn claims she was subjected to age discrimination by co-workers, as well as a hostile, intimidating or offensive working environment that was tolerated by Thomas and perpetrated against her. Her employment was then terminated because of her age.

Conn claims always had excellent employment evaluations and her position was allegedly eliminated, but a lesser-qualified and substantially younger employed replaced her. She was also told she was not eligible for rehire.

Conn is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is represented by John Einreinhofer of the Law Offices of John Einreinhofer in Charleston.

The case is assigned to Senior Status Judge Dan O'Hanlon.
