PINEVILLE - A former employee is suing Blackstone Energy Ltd. alleging he was wrongfully terminated from his employment.

A manager or human resources professional for the company called Sammy "Doe" was also named as a defendant in the suit.

James Hoosier has several medical issues and complications from being injured on the job and communicated to the defendants that he needed to take some time off work for himself and also to take care of some sick family members and was told to take however long he needed to get better and come back, according to a complaint filed in Wyoming Circuit Court.

Hoosier claims when he returned to work, his pay was not the same and he was placed in different jobs that were more demanding than his prior jobs. He was then replaced by a miner that was substantially younger than him. He claims when he complained about his working conditions and loss of pay he was terminated.

Hoosier is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is represented by D. Adrian Hoosier II of Hoosier Law Firm in Charleston.
