PINEVILLE — A woman is suing Nissan for a faulty automatic emergency braking system.

Nissan North America, Lewis One Plaza Center Corporation, Nissan Motor Co. and Ruth Walker were all named as defendants in the suit.

Ruth Walker had a 2019 Nissan Rogue and she took it to Lewis Nissan on Nov. 11, 2019, for an oil change and during the change, the employees also ran diagnostics on the vehicle and did not identify any, despite her saying that the AEB light was lit up on her dashboard and wouldn't go away, according to a complaint filed in Wyoming Circuit Court.

Amanda Walker claims she was riding in the front passenger seat on July 7, 2020, when Ruth Walker crashed into a log trailer and was not alerted to the log truck because of the faulty AEB system.

Amanda Walker is seeking compensatory damages. She is represented by Lee Javins, Blake Carter Jr. and Taylor Norman of Bailey Javins & Carter; and Lance Cooper of The Cooper Firm.
