Dinsmore & Shohl LLP has earned top honors in the 2022 edition of U.S. News - Best Lawyers’ "Best Law Firms" rankings.

Dinsmore received three tier 1 national listings in Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions–Defendants, Public Finance Law and Mining Law. This recognition is follows a string of recent accolades for the firm’s mining and public finance practices in particular.  The Bond Buyer awarded a Dinsmore deal as its 2020 Deal of the Year in the Health Care Financing category, as well as ranking Dinsmore first overall in Kentucky and  in the top 20 nationally for bond counsel in their Bond Buyer Rankings. And as part of the 2021 U.S. News & World Report “Best Law Firms” rankings, Dinsmore was named “Law Firm of the Year” for mining law, the only firm in the U.S. to receive such recognition for this practice area.

The firm also received 127 first-tier metropolitan listings this year. Dinsmore earned metro recognition for commercial litigation in 12 markets, litigation – labor and employment in 10 markets, and banking and finance law in eight markets.

To compile the “Best Law Firms” rankings, researchers conducted surveys and reviewed the information provided by firms during the application process. Clients evaluated their firms in listed practice areas, and lawyers were asked to provide peer reviews. A firm also must have at least one attorney named to Best Lawyers in America© to be considered in the “Best Law Firms” list, and Dinsmore has 191 attorneys in the 2022 edition of Best Lawyers in America©. Dinsmore also has 23 attorneys named “Best Lawyers® 2022 Lawyer of the Year” and 64 attorneys named to the Up-and-Coming “Ones to Watch” 2022 list.
