CHARLESTON — A woman is suing Frontier of West Virginia alleging it violated provisions of the West Virginia Human Rights Act.

Kip Martin was also named as a defendant in the suit.

Tara Vance was employed by Frontier and Martin was a manager at Frontier, according to a complaint filed in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Vance claims she began her employment with the defendants in 2000 and at some point during her employment, she began to be discriminated against based on her gender. She claims it became so severe that she left her employment on Sept. 1, 2023.

"Plaintiff was discriminated against by Defendants during her employment with Frontier based in whole or in part on her gender," the complaint states. "Further, the Plaintiff was discriminated against based on her disability during her employment."

Martin talked down to the plaintiff and other females in a manner that he did not do to the mails and the defendants failed to take meaningful action to stop the harassment.

Vance is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is represented by John Einreinhofer of the Law Offices of John Einreinhofer in Charleston.

The case is assigned to Circuit Judge Maryclaire Akers.
