Woman sues after falling in Kroger parking lot

CHARLESTON – A woman has sued Kroger after she fell and injured herself in a store parking lot.

Ronni McKeever filed her complaint in Kanawha Circuit Court against The Kroger Co.

According to the complaint, McKeever was shopping at the Kroger store in St. Albans on February 20, 2022, when she fell and seriously injured herself in the store parking lot.

McKeever claims Kroger had an affirmative duty to examine the premises for unsafe or dangerous conditions, warn business invitees as to any unsafe or dangerous conditions, correct any unsafe or dangerous conditions and otherwise keep and maintain the premises in safe condition.

She seeks compensatory damages.

McKeever is being represented by William H. Harding of Charlotte, N.C. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Maryclaire Akers.
