HUNTINGTON - A Cabell County woman has filed a suit against the City of Huntington after she was injured when she fell on a city street.

Patricia Dye filed a suit Nov. 2 in Cabell Circuit Court against Huntington after she was injured April 26, 2006.

Dye claims she was crossing Eleventh Street in Huntington when she caught her foot on a broken part of the curb and fell.

Dye fractured her distal radius and ulnar, which required surgery.

According to the suit, Dye claims the city failed to properly maintain the curb and failed to warn pedestrians of the hazard the curb posed.

Dye, through attorney Larry O. Ford, seeks compensatory damages.

The case has been assigned to Judge John L. Cummings.
