WINFIELD — A Putnam County remodeling company is suing HKPW Masonry alleging negligence and breach of contract.
Art & Lola Inc. contracted with Christ Community Church in Scott Depot to perform construction work at the church on Oct. 15, 2020, and the plaintiff subcontracted with HKPW to perform some masonry work at the church, according to a complaint filed in Putnam Circuit Court.
The work performed by the defendant at the church was not performed in a workmanlike manner and the work was completed with faulty construction, according to the suit.
Art & Lola claims the defendant was negligent and breached its contract.
Art & Lola is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. It is represented by Eric S. Embree of Tyree Embree & Associates.
