WHEELING – A Pennsylvania woman alleges that she was injured due to hazardous conditions at a Wheeling business.
Claudia Fluharty filed a lawsuit May 14 in Ohio Circuit Court against Wheeling Park Commission, doing business as Oglebay Resort and Conference Center, stating that she fell and was injured at Wilson’s Lodge at the Oglebay Resort and Conference Center due to negligent, careless and reckless conduct because the dining area was not cleared of dangerous and hazardous materials. Fluharty visited Wilson's Lodge on Dec. 5, 2014.
Fluharty said her injuries forced her “to seek medical treatment and incur medical expenses, has and will in the future incur pain and suffering, mental anguish, aggravation, inconvenience, the loss of the enjoyment of life, the loss of the ability to function, and past and future medical expenses. The plaintiff, who was married, also alleges that the injury forced her “to suffer a loss of duties and obligation of their marital relationship.”
Fluharty is asking for all damages allowed under the law.
