PERSONNEL FILE: Nelson Mullins adds two attorneys

HUNTINGTON - Kendra Huff and Kelly Calder Mowen have joined the West Virginia office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP as associates.

Huff practices in the areas of commercial litigation, consumer financial services, insurance coverage and bad faith, and employment litigation. She previously worked as an attorney at a Michigan law firm where she handled state and federal cases at the trial and appellate levels in employment and general commercial litigation.

She also served as a law clerk for a Michigan law firm where she worked in the areas of commercial and construction litigation. Huff earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law. She earned a Master of Science in Education, summa cum laude, from Youngstown State University, and she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Marshall University.

Mowen focuses her practice in the areas of appeals, civil litigation, product liability, and class action and mass torts. She previously worked as a legal intern to a public law firm in West Virginia aiding indigent and other vulnerable populations with primarily landlord-tenant and family law matters, where she also worked on children's education issues through a Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough grant.

She has worked as a law clerk at a boutique law firm serving corporate and consumer clients in bankruptcy and debt restructuring. Mowen earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law and also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Kentucky.
