RIPLEY - Fox Engineering is being sued over claims it failed to pay a bill due to Family Carpet Outlet.
Family Carpet Outlet Inc. filed a lawsuit Dec. 17 in the Circuit Court of Jackson County against Fox Engineering PLLC.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant contracted to purchase commercial flooring products from the plaintiff. The complaint says the contract stipulated the payment amount is due within 30 days.
The defendant has failed to pay in accordance with the contract terms and the plaintiff is seeking payment of $47,462.16 from the defendant, according to the complaint.
The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages, fees and prejudgment interest. Family Carpet Outlet is being represented by Todd Wiseman of Wiseman Law Firm PLLC.
