Mining company sued for interfering with couple's property

Wyoming

PINEVILLE -- A couple are suing after a mining operation interfered with the enjoyment of their property.

Gary Huff and Zola Huff filed a lawsuit Dec. 30 in Wyoming Circuit Court against Dynamic Energy Inc. and Bluestone Coal Corp.

The plaintiffs say they own property at 193 Josh Fork in Simon and during construction in 1977 they drilled a well on the property. The complaint states in the late 2000s, the defendants began mining operations on land adjacent to the plaintiff's property. The plaintiffs allege that from 2011 to the spring of 2012 their well water became unusable due to the mining operation.

The Huffs are seeking an amount of damages in excess of $1,000,000. They are being represented in the case by attorney David G. Thompson.
